BEIRUT: Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri received Tuesday a call from Saudi Arabia's King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz to check on his health after the surgery he underwent at the American hospital in Paris, according to a statement released by Hariri's press office.
This comes following a recent ski accident Hariri had in France that led to fractures in his left leg.
The statement added that former Premier Hariri expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah for "his gesture and his affection," and that Hariri wished Abdullah success in shouldering the "heavy responsibilities" he faces during "this sensitive stage" of Arab history.
