Egyptian actor and film producer Nour al-Sherif has died at the age of 69 .Over the course of his 47-year career, the actor successfully straddled Egypt's art-house and popular market, the latter including numerous television dramas as well as film roles.Most of his 100 films were made for Egypt's thriving commercial cinema but he also appeared in several works by acclaimed Egyptian indie Youssef Chahine – notably "Hadduta Misrija" (An Egyptian Story, 1982), "Al-Massir" (Destiny, 1997) and "11-09-01" (Sept. Sherif also produced a number of Egyptian movies, with the action thriller "Circle of Revenge" (1976) and "Zaman Hatem Zahran" (1986) attracting enthusiastic audiences within Egypt.His last role as an actor was in "Cairo Time," the 2014 feature of Egyptian helmer Amir Ramses.
