Check out the latest happenings on the agenda this weekend around Beirut.In collaboration with the University of Rennes 2, The International Writers' House in Beirut celebrates poetry by inviting 12 poets and performers from eight countries.This posthumous exhibition and book release features Armenian photographer Hovsep Madenian's forgotten portraits.Mireille Goguikian presents a solo exhibition of paintings.This festival brings together an array of artists and creative businesses from both the local and global scenes.This solo show consists of a series of paintings by Paul Wakim concerned with the passing of time.The exhibition will create an ecosystem where art, music and technology come together to present and provoke re?ection on the techno-social tensions facing society in the 21st century.Celebrating 30 years of Sfeir-Semler, 10 of them in Beirut, this group show features work by the gallery's roster of local and international artists, including Etal Adnan, Mounira Al Solh, Yto Barrada, Rabih Mroue, and Wael Shawky.This exhibition assembles a series of paintings, photographs and artisanal objects from the early 18th to the mid-20th century, before the Western model of autonomous art had fully emerged in the Middle East.
