Fans of the Harry Potter franchise will know this to be the date of the Battle of Hogwarts, when the young wizard triumphed over evil Lord Voldemort. This is the case for both Albus and Scorpius Malfoy – the son of Harry's former adversary Draco Malfoy, who, unlike his father at that age, is surprisingly compassionate and clever. For his part, Albus is dangerously insecure, harboring a deep desire to be seen as an individual rather than be dwarfed by the accomplishments of his namesakes – Hogwarts' former headmaster Albus Dumbledore, double agent Severus Snape and Harry Potter. While the dialogue is at times witty and evokes many laugh-out-loud moments, especially when it concerns the friendship between Albus and Scorpius, it was a challenge to reconcile the theatrical voices of Harry, Hermione and Ron with those of their childhood selves. Albus reawakens mistakes made decades ago by Harry. In a world filled with chaos, the Potter series has been a catalyst for spontaneous friendships – reinforced by the moral and cultural framework. Is all indeed "well" after Harry vanquished the Dark Lord?
