Two Lebanese organizations are taking art out of its comfort zone in northern Lebanon. The Association for the Promotion and Exhibition of the Arts in Lebanon and Temporary Art Platform announced the launch of their latest project, Ras Masqa Artists in Residency, Tuesday at the Albergo Hotel. Six jury-selected artists Friday will begin a monthlong stay in the village of Ras Masqsa and pursue individual and collaborative projects. In addition, two lectures will be hosted at the Lebanese University's Institute of Fine Arts at Ras Masqa, the first by video artist and curator Akram Zaatari on March 29 and the second by Agial Art Gallery Director Saleh Barakat on April 5 .Khalil, along with Sursock Museum Director Zeina Arida, Metropolis Art Cinema Director Hania Mroue and architect Mona El Hallak, will engage the audience with a panel entitled "Audience Outreach Strategies of Artistic and Cultural Institutions" on March 22 .The Ras Masqa Artists in Residence program will run from March 18 to April 18 .
