The hauntingly tortured faces that observe you from the walls of Art on 56th gallery are accompanied by a soundtrack of jazz music.Arrayed over three rooms, Rafik Majzoub's exhibition, "Room 11," is comprised of a series 18 mixed media on paper works and 48 pages from the artist's personal journal.The series was inspired by Majzoub's four-week stay in an alcoholism rehabilitation center in 2015-16 . The third gallery displays prints of 48 pages of the journal Majzoub wrote during his time in rehab.At the start of the journal he's in Room 12 . After a few pages, he's moved to Room 11 .
