The Association for the Promotion and Exhibition of the Arts (APEAL) announced the winning recipients of its 2018 Maria Arida Annual Scholarship Award Thursday, during a news conference at Albergo Hotel.Three Candidates were chosen from 18 contenders, for their excellent academic and professional records and their artistic potential.Philippa Dahrouj and Natacha Gasparian will be admitted to the Masters in Art History and Curation graduate program at the American University of Beirut, while Nadia Asfour will be admitted at Harvard University for a Masters in Art Design and Public Domain. Founded in 2010 as an NGO arts scholarship program, APEAL has so far granted 23 scholarships to Lebanese art students at such universities as AUB, ALBA, USEK, USJ, MIT, Universite de Montreal, La Sorbonne, Yale and Harvard.
