Guo Yingguang's "The Bliss of Conformity" is among 36 exhibitions staged for the opening week of this year's Les Rencontres de la photographie in Arles.The festival's principal theme is "America Great Again!" recalling the anniversary of the 1958 publication of the great Robert Frank's "The Americans," and raising questions about the U.S. under President Donald Trump's regime.It includes an extensive exhibition of Frank's work, along with shows from Magnum photographer Raymond Depardon and Paul Graham. Graham's show comprises three bodies of work on the U.S.There's even a 1974 black-and-white image of former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, U.S. President Richard Nixon and their wives in Giza.
