Photography will take center stage at the ninth edition of Beirut Art Fair this September, with a larger and more interactive fair and several parallel events. BAF's organizing committee announced its 2018 program at a recent news conference at Le Grey, revealing a 45-percent expansion of the fair's space to allow for a larger, more diverse, selection of work."Across Boundaries," BAF's flagship exhibition, will present a selection of Lebanese photography dating from the 1900s to today, arranged under three themes – "Territory," "The Document," and "Intimate".The show will comprise over 100 works from some 30 private and public collections, including the American University of Beirut, Saint Joseph University, the Saradar Collection and the Arab Image Foundation.The third edition of Revealing by SGBL will show works of 18 emerging artists.In addition, BAF will host a number of book launches and a five-day series of roundtable discussions and talks addressing topics like art collection, public art and "ancient photography" (sic).
