"Home Within" represents a series of events from Syria's 7-year-old conflict via music and live drawing. The show mingles prerecorded sound with Azmeh's live clarinet performance and Mourad's real-time sketching. Using black-and-white paint administered through a syringelike piping tool, Mourad's poignant visuals were an appropriate accompaniment for Azmeh's music.A curled figure appears between the strips, slowly rising from the floor to dance across the screen to Azmeh's music, as Azmeh follows the figure while playing. The final montage shows Azmeh approach the screen, facing it with his clarinet.
