Chelidze's 2018 film is among the 16 independent titles that will be projected Friday and Saturday evening at the Baalbeck International Film Festival.Comprising over 3,000 titles, the primary selection was mostly gleaned from programming website FilmFreeway, while 100-odd Arab titles were submitted to the festival directly.Festival volunteers perused the submissions, removing those that didn't conform to the festival criteria – eliminating half the titles.A secret committee of film instructors and movie buffs reviewed those left on the list to decide which 16 were most appropriate for the festival. Abdel Sater is acutely aware that selecting indie films for a festival in Baalbeck is unlike programming for a Beirut audience.
