Denzel Washington's "The Equalizer" took out the box office competition in its debut weekend, picking up an impressive $129,041, according to Box Office Mojo.Washington gets in on the action as he reunites with "Training Day" director Antoine Fuqua for Sony's big screen adaptation of the 1980s TV series "The Equalizer," created by Michael Sloan and Richard Lindheim.The revenge thriller is the latest in the newest wave of action films. In its second week, the adaptation of James Dashner's "The Maze Runner," starring Dylan O'Brien, slid to No. 2 with $68,152 .From Cross Creek Pictures, "A Walk Among the Tombstones" dropped 48.9 percent in its second week, placing at No. 3 with $34,704 .
