U.S. equities swung between gains and losses Friday, continuing their up-and-down pattern this week, as disappointing earnings guidance from U.S. chipmakers Nvidia Corp. and Applied Materials Inc. weighed on technology shares.S&P 500 Index erased an earlier decline that reached 0.3 percent and turned slightly higher as it looked to eke out a weekly advance.Turkey's lira erased an early gain and retreated after rising more than 15 percent in three days.The Japanese yen jumped 0.4 percent to 110.47 per dollar, the strongest in a month. The Turkish lira erased an earlier gain and slumped 4 percent to 6.0783 per dollar.BondsThe yield on 10-year Treasurys fell 1 basis point to 2.8569 percent, the lowest in a month.
