Beirut Airport activity up 2.11 percent in June

BEIRUT: The number of arrivals to Rafik Hariri International Airport increased by 2.11 percent in June 2011 compared to June 2010, according to a statement released by Al-Markazia Wednesday.

“The number of arrivals in June 2011 reached 305,439 compared to 299,114 in June 2010. As for the departure activity, it also improved as the number of departures increased by 6.33 percent. It said that the number of departures reached 207,869 in June 2011 compared to 195,501 in June 2010.

The statement also included statistics for the month of July. Arrivals in July 2011 reached 361.851 compared to 383,162 in July 2010, registering a drop of 5.56 percent.

As for departures in the month of July, they have increased by 12.36 percent from 297,439 in July 2010 to 343,207 in July 2011.
