BEIRUT: The taxi drivers’ union renewed calls Monday to put a ceiling on the prices of gasoline.
The union, which elected Jamal al-Zobdawi as their new president, insisted on setting a special price for gas or putting a ceiling on gasoline and fuel prices, which have been surging over the past year.
The union also emphasized the need to control the chaotic traffic situation and illegal license plates.
The union also called on the country’s Transportation Ministry to set a plan for national transportation.
