BEIRUT: Lebanon's industrial exports for the first quarter of 2011 dropped to $790.1 million compared with $792 million for the same period last year, data released by the Industry Ministry showed Friday.
At the same time, the total value of imports of industrial machinery and equipment during the first quarter of 2011 also dropped to $52.8 million, compared with $57.8 million in the first quarter of the 2010.
The figures showed Lebanese industrial exports in March 2011 dropped 8.1 percent to reach $288.7 million compared to $301 million in the same period last year.
