BEIRUT: Lebanese and Sudanese businessmen called for increased bilateral trade Thursday.
A Sudanese delegation had visited Lebanese import and export businessmen aiming to exchange information about markets in the two countries.
A Sudanese Embassy official observed that trade between the two countries is weak, calling on Lebanon to benefit from Sudanese livestock and agricultural products.
The official also said Sudan will soon implement a 0 percent tariff policy in accordance with the Greater Arab Free Trade Area agreement.
“This will facilitate trade between the two countries greatly,” he said.
