BEIRUT: Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan inaugurated Monday a wing dedicated to Lebanese agricultural produce at the Gulf Food 2012 exhibition in Dubai, reported the National News Agency.
The opening, held at the National Dubai Exhibition, was attended by representatives of the Investment Development Authority of Lebanon (IDAL) and the Lebanese Standards Agency (LIBNOR).
According to the report, Hajj Hassan held several meetings, including with UAE Environment and Water Minister Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad, General Director of the Emirates Authority for Standardization Mohammad Saleh al-Badri and Foreign Trade Minister Lubnah al-Qasimi.
At the Lebanese Mission in Dubai, Hajj Hassan also convened a meeting attended by exporters of Lebanese citrus and organic products and UAE importers to identify and overcome hurdles in the exportation of Lebanese agricultural products, as well as to draw up a plan focused on exportation and the implementation of regulations.
