Lebanon's Blom Bank says H1 profit up 1 percent

Banks such as BLOM with affiliates or branches in Syria saw a drop in assets in 2011.

BEIRUT: Lebanon's Blom Bank reported first half net profits of $165.26 million on Tuesday, a 1 percent increase on the same period last year.

It said assets rose $660 million to $23.8 billion, and deposits grew $568 million to $20.9 billion.
