BEIRUT: The Cabinet will start implementing a series of economic measures and laws mulled last week with the private sector by the end of the month, a leading member of the Economic Committees said Thursday.
“The government and the economic committees have bypassed differences over several issues and we have secured the approval of several demands,” Jacque Sarraf said.
Sarraf expected a long-delayed public-private partnership law to be finally passed, adding that measures to cut energy bills and facilitate financing to businesses will also be taken.
Sarraf also said that Russia was ready to invest in several sectors including water dams, railways and oil and gas. “Russia can also insulate the oil and gas sector from Israeli disturbance,” he added.
