BEIRUT: Cypriot President Demetris Christofias will discuss the demarcation of maritime borders with Lebanese officials in a visit to Beirut next week, the CNA reported Thursday. Diplomatic sources told the CNA that Christofias will seek to reach a new agreement over the demarcation of Exclusive Economic Zones between Cyprus, Lebanon and Israel. The source said Cyprus will attempt to mediate a settlement between Lebanon and Israel over a disputed 850 square km area.
