A+ A-

BEIRUT: The Agriculture Ministry hosted a conference to mark the closure of the Olio del Libano project, a 3.3 million euro Italian-funded project to provide economic and social support for the families of olive farmers. During the conference, Agriculture Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan said, “Besides the valuable contribution provided in terms of expertise to the olive oil sector in Lebanon, the added value of this project was a quality human approach, that managed to go beyond the technical aspects.” The cooperation attache of the Italian Embassy, Guido Benevento, stressed the long-standing cooperation between Italy and Lebanon aimed at supporting the growth of the olive sector.
