BEIRUT: The Economic and Social Fund for Development announced in a statement Monday that the number of private projects it has funded during the third quarter of 2010 has exceeded 250 private projects at the cost of LL 3.9 billion ($2.6 million), resulting in the creation of 91 new employment opportunities. This created 62 new employment opportunities. The fund stated that of the finances distributed, 1,837 loans were given to the services sector. The trading sector received 1713 loans, the industrial sector 813 loans and the agricultural sector 584 loans.
