Citibank, foreign financiers mull Lebanon investment

BEIRUT: Chief Executive Officer of Citibank Lebanon Elissar Antonios and foreign financiers Friday discussed opportunities for investment in Lebanon with Prime Minister Tammam Salam.

“The delegation was briefed by the prime minister on the political and economic situation in the country and chances of investment in Lebanon,” Antonios told reporters following talks with Salam at the Grand Serail.

Citibank’s CEO is heading the delegation of foreign investors as part of tour of Lebanon, Egypt and Jordan.
