Culture Minister Raymond Areiji emphasized Thursday the need to introduce the concept of human resource management to the public sector in a bid to improve its performance and productivity.Other speakers at the conference included Middle East Airlines Chairman Mohammad Hout, Vice President of the Central Bank Raed Charaffedine and President of the World Union of Arab Bankers Joseph Torbey.Areiji said the introduction of such concepts should take place in parallel with academic training sessions for the public sector. Joseph Torbey, president of the World Union of Arab Bankers, spoke of the role of human resources departments and their contributions in the success of institutions.
