Small and medium enterprises should be more involved in Corporate Social Responsibility to enable this culture to flourish in Lebanon, said Rana Salhab, regional talent and communications partner at Deloitte.Salhab's remarks came during a session held within the framework of CSR Levant 2015, an event held at Ecole Superieure des Affaires aiming to discuss CSR best practices in Lebanon, regionally and globally.Another successful CSR initiative was voiced by Hani Raad, general manager at Cisco, who said that his company has established around 34 academies across Lebanon graduating over 2,000 students with certificates in networking.Marwan Hayek, chairman and CEO at mobile operator Alfa, spoke of his company's initiatives in this regard.He said that Alfa was among the first companies to believe in CSR and establish its culture in Lebanon through "Alfa 4-Life".
