Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh ruled out any further downgrade of Lebanon by the international rating agencies, assuring that the country has many points of strength.Most international ratings agencies have downgraded the sovereign outlook of Lebanon from stable to negative.Salameh added that there is no reason for the rating agencies to downgrade the outlook of Lebanon, stressing that despite some difficulties, it still has some points of strength which the agencies take into consideration.Salameh assured that Lebanese banks have increased their capitals, reduced their risks and have high capital adequacy ratios.Salameh said over $250 million was invested in the field of technology thanks to the Central Bank packages.
