Social media leaders Thursday provided insight on how investment, engagement and influence in the sector can transform and create great returns for businesses.Engagement is the "most important aspect of social media," Joe Ghantous, founder and CEO of digital marketing company Right Service, told the audience at the Middle East Social Media Festival Thursday. After opening remarks by a representative of Telecommunications Minister Boutros Harb, different leaders of businesses that heavily engage in social media discussed optimizing the phenomenon's use to reach different business objectives.Ghantous discussed how businesses and individuals are able to measure the value of social media and convince executives of its importance for reasons such as investment. Zadi Hobeika, digital director for the Levant and Egypt at media communications agency Universal MENA, discussed the importance of trackback tools such as Google Analytics in measuring ROI from social media and, consequently, a company's digital influence.
