In a move to bolster its presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council, BankMed, one of the largest banks in Lebanon, became the first in the MENA region to obtain a Category 1 license at Dubai International Financial Center.The licence allows the bank to offer a wide range of financial solutions to the UAE and the Gulf region. According to a statement by the bank, presence at the DIFC will enable BankMed to use its wide experience in corporate banking, treasury solutions and risk management to offer financial solutions ranging from credit to trade finance and treasury services. Involved in the trading of various financial instruments, MedSecurities also distributes tailor-made and off-the-shelf investment solutions.The bank added that it will be able to provide a range of comprehensive financial solutions that can meet the many and changing needs of current and potential customers.
