The transport and logistics industry in the Arab world can only flourish by creating a strong cooperation between the private and public sectors, Former Finance Minister Raya Hasan said at the Egyptian International Logistics Services Forum in Cairo.Hasan added that the public sector can get the necessary money for these projects by taking subsidized loans from Arab funds and international monetary funds such as the World Bank and the European Union.She said that Arab governments must activate the public private partnership law while giving a set of incentives to attract investments in addition to improving local financial markets to enable the private sector to have access to the needed funds. On the other hand, Choucair met with the Egyptian Industry and Trade Minister Tarek Kabil to discuss ways of increasing trade between Lebanon and Egypt.
