Lebanon made big and qualitative progress in solving some of the negative safety elements at Rafik Hariri International Airport, the head of the airport said Thursday.The new measures adopted by the Lebanese authorities were hailed by the heads of the participating delegations," Fadi al-Hassan said in a statement.He added that ICAO praised the efforts of Lebanon after it conducted thorough safety assessment of the airport between May 9 and 12 .The Lebanese government and the Public Works and Transport Ministry allocated more funds to upgrade the security and safety measures at the airport.
