The EM credit portfolio is a model portfolio based on the Barclays EM U.S. dollar Sovereign Debt Index.The report said that Lebanon's external debt posted a total return of 3.4 percent in the first five months of 2016, relative to 3.1 percent in the first five months of 2015 and 3.2 percent in full year 2015 .It added that the total return of Lebanon's external debt was the eighth highest among 13 issuers in the Europe, the Middle East & Africa region and the fifth lowest among the 26 emerging markets included in Barclays' portfolio of EM sovereign debt. Also, it said that Barclays reduced Lebanon's weight allocation in the portfolio from 3.8 percent at end-2015 to 3.4 percent at the beginning of June 2016 .
