The value of real estate transactions in Lebanon in the first two months of 2016 surged by 40.6 percent to reach $1.4 billion compared to the same period of 2015, according to figures released by the Finance Ministry.The statistics also showed that there were 9,460 real estate transactions in the first two months of 2016, constituting an increase of 25.6 percent from 7,531 deals in the same period of 2015 .The figures also indicated that the number of real estate transactions dropped by 26.7 percent in the first two months of 2015 and rose by 20.3 percent in same period of 2014 . The figures, which were published by Lebanon This Week, the economic publication of the Byblos Bank Group, indicated that the total value of real estate transactions reached $1.4 billion in the first two months of 2016 and increased by 40.6 percent from $1bn in the same period of 2015 .
