Central Bank Gov. Riad Salameh said there is no fear of de-risking by correspondent banks.Salameh also did not express any concern about the future of the banking and financial sector in Lebanon.Salameh revealed that the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development has extended the deadline for implementation of the automatic tax exchange information till the end of November of this year to give Lebanon's Parliament more time to approve the proposal. During the World Bank and IMF conference, Global Finance magazine awarded Salameh a shield on the occasion of naming him as one of the best central bank governors in the world.
