Liban Cables inaugurated Friday a new 601 KW-peak solar power system to replace one of its 7 electric diesel generators with photovoltaic panels, said a statement issued by the company.The Liban Cables plant is one of the biggest green energy projects in Lebanon and the first to be completed within the framework of the Small Decentralized Energy Power Generation project.Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hasan said he hoped to see more electricity generated by solar power plants in the coming years while emphasizing the project's environmental importance.
