Head of the Association of Lebanese Industrialists Fadi Gemayel Thursday urged the government to implement exceptional measures to prevent the closure of more factories in the future.Gemayel stressed that "the Lebanese industry is one of the most important sectors that consolidate the foundations of Lebanon's independence and freedom.Gemayel said that the government needs to adopt new effective measures in a bid to revive the industrial sector.Among the recommendations voiced by the association were offering new incentive and non-costly incentives to the industrialists, protecting this sector from dumping and imposing fees and taxes on imported goods that are subsidized by their governments.
