Central Bank Gov. Riad Salameh underlined the importance of good governance in the banking sector Wednesday and said BDL had established new committees to ensure compliance.Salameh said BDL has, through a series of circulars, developed the administrative structure of the banking sector in Lebanon."For many years, BDL has been working to activate the systems of supervision and good management of banks and the composition of their boards of directors in a practical manner," Salameh said.He added that BDL has recently decided to define internal control frameworks at banks.
