Private business activities in Lebanon slightly improved in May of this year but the Purchasing Management Index has still yet to reach the important 50 mark, a BLOMINVEST Bank report said Tuesday. Any reading above 50 shows an improvement in business conditions on the previous month.The report said surveyed companies identified security issues, cash-flow problems and the political environment as negatively impacting demand.The report said May's survey noted a sustained decline in the level of activity at private sector businesses.The report also highlighted key challenges facing the private sector.
