Ratings agency Fitch has warned against a drawn-out Cabinet formation process, as this would delay necessary reforms.However, Hariri may face an uphill task in forming a Cabinet quickly as most political parties will demand key portfolios in the new government.The report stressed that Lebanon faces geopolitical and fiscal challenges following the recent elections.The other challenges facing Lebanon in the next stage, according to Fitch, are maintaining the fiscal deficit ceiling given the fact that more money will be spent on the infrastructure.Fitch underscored the importance of the Capital Investment Plan in financing some of the megainfrastructure projects in the country.
