According to the BSE, market capitalization has fallen by 13.2 percent since the end of August 2017 to $9.96 billion, with banking stocks accounting for 84.8 percent of the total, followed by real estate equities (11.3 percent ), industrial shares (3.6 percent) and trading firms' equities (0.4 percent).The BSE added that banking stocks accounted for 81.5 percent of the aggregate trading volume in the first eight months of 2018, followed by real estate equities with 16 percent, industrial shares with 2.2 percent and trading stocks with 0.4 percent. Banking stocks represented 77.6 percent of the aggregate value of shares traded, followed by real estate equities with 18.1 percent, industrial stocks with 4.1 percent and trading stocks with 0.2 percent.
