Sure it was luxurious (for its time) but it was also, big, bulky, cumbersome and not exactly the kind of car a young man would be interested in.One would assume that with all the luxury dripping from this car the ATS Coupe offers a relaxed and easy-going driving experience with little road feel.Despite its rich and pampering cabin, the Coupe is every bit a driver's car and more than capable of giving its rivals from BMW and Audi a run for their money.Performance for the rear-wheel drive ATS Coupe comes from a 3.6-liter direct injection DOHC V-6 that develops 321 horsepower and 372 N-m of torque at 4,800 rpm, and that mill is mated with a six-speed automatic with manual shift control features. That may not be the fastest car on the road and nowhere near supercar territory, but for a car that weighs over 1,550 kilograms those figures are quite respectable. This car has soul.As I said, this may not be the quickest car but it handles like a dream.Don't forget the sublime steering, which all on its own would make this car a contender.
