It seems that policy extends to everything else, including cars, as I found out repeatedly over one weekend as I tried out SsangYong's Tivoli crossover on Beirut's roads. You can get the Tivoli in four-wheel drive on any of the four available trim levels for an extra $2,000 ($2,400 for the Special trim level). The top-of-the-line Tivoli, the Luxury+, takes the repertoire of equipment into the stratosphere, featuring dual-zone climate control, driver auto/up down power window, inside chrome door handles, leather wrapped steering wheel, push start/stop button, luggage cover, speed warning and tire direction indicator, front and rear parking sensors, rear-view camera, leather seats (heated and ventilated in the front), rear center armrest, rain-sensing wipers, electronic chromic mirrors, cruise control, the aforementioned-color adjustable supervision cluster, mood lamps, 18-inch rims HID headlights, 7-inch touchscreen display and dual smart key.The issue I have with this car is that Lebanon is a mountainous country, and once you leave Beirut and want to head uphill, the Tivoli strains that engine, and you're going to want to use the manual mode of that Tiptronic transmission to keep the car in the low gears.
