Most cars are just that, cars.More importantly, it gave birth to the original 1957 250 GT Cabriolet Pininfarina Series I, and the subsequent Scaglietti 250 GT California Spyder, the true ancestor of today's California T.The 2015 California T lives up to that legacy of design and technological development, even in relation to its immediate predecessor, the 2008-14 California.Beyond that, the California T retains the long, flowing lines and muscular fenders of its predecessor which hark back to classic Ferrari roadster designs. The California T is the first Ferrari to feature turbochargers – it's got two of them – since the Ferrari F40 was introduced nearly three decades ago. The 4.3-liter V-8 unit is gone, replaced by a 560-horsepower 3.9-liter eight-cylinder mill mated once more with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle. Which brings me to the final element that makes me adore this car.How can I be expected to, when this car represents everything I crave in a sports car?
