In Lebanon, we are still debating the idea of whether electric cars and hybrids should precede the infrastructure or whether the infrastructure should come first.SD: There is also an issue of well-to-wheel here, where electric cars are designed to reduce emissions but the electricity used to charge them comes from burning fossil fuels.SD: Do you have data or are you hoping the installation of these EV chargers will increase the demand for electric cars?I think everybody is interested in electric cars, but no one is taking the first step.SD: Do you think the densely developed Beirut area has the space to accommodate infrastructure for electric cars?SD: How much will it cost to charge at the stations cost?It is also safer to charge at the stations because the EV chargers are professionally deployed.Abou Halka: I would like to add that there are three systems of electric cars worldwide.
