Governments urged to invest more in green cities to beat coronavirus slump

Cyclists make their way down a two-way cycling lane in Berlin's central Friedrichstrasse shopping mile, a length of which has been closed to vehicle traffic from 29 August 2020 to January 2021, on September 8, 2020. The 6-month closure will help city officials and the business community decide whether turning the section into a pedestrian and cycling only zone is beneficial to businesses and the environment. / AFP / John MACDOUGALL
