The Christmas decorations lighting up Beirut's Zaitounay Bay are not only helping to spread holiday cheer, but are also raising tens of thousands of dollars for 26 children's charities. For the second year in a row, the Field of Stars campaign is putting up an LED-lit star for each $1,000 donation raised. Alongside the LED-lit stars are several artworks designed by four Lebanese artists, Nada Sehnaoui, Charbel Bouez, Charles Khoury, and Nabil Basbous. On Feb. 18, the installations will be dismantled and placed at the MACAM Museum as part of a permanent Field of Stars exhibition.Individuals who would like to donate to Field of Stars can do so via Ihjoz, with donation options ranging from $25 up to $1,000 .
