How do you fix a broken country like Lebanon? Thanks to talented Lebanese fashion designers and their high-profile success on glamorous catwalks and Hollywood red carpets, Lebanon still gets to enjoy some associations of beauty, good taste and refinement. What other export, but fashion design, has helped put our best face forward out there, for all to see? I had the opportunity to gain some insight on that subject as I listened to a motivational speech delivered by one of Lebanon's top designers, Tony Ward, at his atelier last week. Don't get me started on the more recent traffic law – also commendable in theory – but falling through in practice, judging by all the texting and driving that's still going strong.Ardor, rigor and tenacity are rare commodities these days.It will involve demonstrating staying power against all odds.
