After years of experience in the luxury goods industry, Cherine Khadra has opened a new custom tailor boutique for her Atelier C brand in Saifi Village. The inauguration of Khadra's new boutique took place Thursday at Gallery 169, which faces her small shop in Saifi. Khadra launched her Atelier C brand in 2011, building on a career that began in the marketing department at jewelry house Cartier and included years of experience in ready-to-wear clothing.Khadra Thursday displayed her latest creations by exhibiting the garments. At Atelier C special attention is paid to materials, which sometimes include surplus fabric from Parisian fashion houses. Khadra also develops exclusive fabrics of her own, such as laser cuts, and brings back textiles from her trips abroad. Women are the main customers, often coming in for a tailor-made dress, a suit, an accessory or a pair of custom-made heels, but Khadra has also expanded to men's wear, specifically suits made exclusively with Loro Piana and Dormeuil's Italian fabrics.
