Adorned in red carpet, hundreds gathered at Forum de Beyrouth Wednesday to kick off a five-day interior decoration festival. Organized by Micheline Katchouni, the CEO of Salon Promotion Marketing, the Art of Living Exhibition brought together 76 visual painters and 160 different companies that specialize in furniture, fabric and kitchenware. Madona Darwish, a Lebanese classical realist painter, said that her purpose for coming to the festival was merely to mingle with people and to show off the beauty of her art.Rita Moukarzel, one of the assistants for Katchouni, said that the entire fare took 5 days to set up, but stressed that Katchouni had worked all year to make the event happen.
