With new presentations and shows throughout the period, many are getting ready for the grand unveiling of the haute couture fall/winter 2016-17 collections – many Lebanese designers among them.To help set the tone, Chanel presented their collection in Cuba, Louis Vuitton in Rio de Janeiro, and Dior headed to the famous Blenheim Palace in England. Instead of relying on the two main collections – the spring/summer and fall/winter – there was a movement to have more hitting the boutiques and shops between seasons as well.Every May since, the major fashion houses like Chanel, Dior, and Louis Vuitton evoke the dreamy, beautiful travel vibe with stunning summer inspired designs. There were clear creative exchanges between the two countries sown through the collection.Almost 70 years later, the house of Dior pays homage to that ongoing creative and cultural exchange, staging the runway show of the 2017 Cruise collection in the heart of the English countryside.
